Apple Officially Announces iOS 16 for iPhone Release Date - Get Ready to Update Your Devices on the 12th of September
After releasing a never-ending barrage of betas, Apple has finally taken the wrap off something which we have been waiting for a long time - the final version release date. The Cupertino company says that those with a compatible device will be able to update to the latest iPhone software on the 12th of September, just a few days from now. If you avoided all the developer and public beta releases for the final software alone, then mark your calendars today. As Apple confirmed before, iPadOS 16, will be available later for compatible iPads later this year. We’re assuming that it will arrive alongside new iPads next month or after. We’re not entirely sure how this will pan out therefore take our word with a grain of salt. It’s way better for Apple to deliver the software update later as long as it comes with the polish we come to expect from brand new software. As of now, features like Stage Manager are a hot mess. Coming back to iOS 16, you will be able to take the brand new Lock Screen features for a spin, including the brand new widgets. If you ever wanted to keep track of weather without unlocking your phone, then this update is going to be a huge treat for you. The second big feature which many of you out there there will love is the ability to delete messages after they have been sent. If you’ve sent an embarrassing text or typo using iMessage, you now get the option to correct it before it is etched in time forever. But, there is one feature which you should be really excited about and that is Passkey, allowing you to log in without the need for passwords. It is completely end-to-end encrypted and something which will hopefully put an end to phishing attempts once and for all. So, there you have it. If you have been waiting for iOS 16 to arrive, then you have the official date. Make sure you have your device prepared beforehand so that everything goes through as smoothly as possible when the update is released for everyone.
